William T. Sheldon, Project Geologist

Bill Sheldon is a Project Geologist with Griggs-Lang Consulting Geologists, Inc. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geology in 2005 from the State University of New York at Potsdam. His education focused on the fields of environmental geology and structural geology.

Before joining GLCG, Bill worked for Continental Placer Inc. as a Mining Geologist and for Coneco Engineers and Scientists as an Environmental Geologist. His varied experience includes hydrologic and geologic subsurface investigations, blast monitoring, reserves estimates, mine planning, exploratory drilling, petrographic analysis, surveying, hazardous waste removal and alternative energy systems.

Bill’s areas of expertise include mine permitting, CAD applications, aggregate quality assessment, reserves estimates, field mapping, environmental impact assessment and investigation and subsurface investigation.

Bill is OSHA and MSHA certified and is a member of the Geological Society of America, the New York State Construction Materials Association, the Hudson-Mohawk Professional Geologists Association, and the New York Council of Professional Geologists.
